Slab construction. The texture on the underside of this piece matches the driftwood which can fool the observer.
I incorporated this piece of driftwood to a coil constructed vase. It is 34" tall.
Slab construction with a layered glaze interior and stained and textured exterior resting on driftwood.
This piece is unique in that I formed it without fitting it to driftwood. After finished I found the perfect driftwood to incorporate with it.
Slab construction and layered glazing. I chose not to texture the exterior of this piece.
I created this piece as a final exam for a 3D class I was taking at Barton College.
Took 2nd place in Barton College Juried Student Art Exhibition Dec 2016

This is my first attempt at combining my love of ceramics with my interest in unique driftwood. I like the juxtaposition of the textured stained exterior with the colorful glazed interior.
This small woman's torso was made using wood-fire porcelain and fired(unglazed) in the glowworm kiln during the Four Amigo's Workshop at Dan Finch's, Oct 2016
This is the first sculpture I made using clay. Enzo Torcolleti was the artist who taught, encouraged, and inspired me. I found a love of sculpting through this wonderful artist.
