Its the country life for me!

Just want to say hello and tell you how we got started. We are new to farm life after relocating every 3-4 years with the US Air Force, it is nice to finally set down roots. We started our little farm with 4 young La Mancha goats just under 2 years ago. We had land to clear and what better way to do it than with some friendly sweet goats. After much research we decided the La Mancha breed was the one for us. We suddenly needed to build a barn and fence in an area for them. Then a friend said she had baby chicks and if we wanted them we could have some. We now have 6 chickens, 1 rooster name Zaxby and his 5 hens, Lacey Grey, Penny, Moona, Lola, Peaches. We built a pretty nice chicken coop and now we are harvesting 2-3 eggs a day. Looking forward to baby chicks this summer(hopefully the snakes will leave this batch alone). We have 5 acres of land and decided we did not want to have any big horses because we did not have the land to ride them. We discovered miniature horses and I finally have a horse. As a little girl I dreamed of having a one and as of today we have 5 of them. They are small, but they are still horses and I couldn't be happier. This spring we will be getting 3 ducklings. Our little farm just keeps growing. Stay tuned.
